Why Amanaia Should Be Your Next Food Stop
Almost two months ago, my colleagues and I went to a restaurant called Amanaia, Satrio, not so randomly, to have lunch. Located not far from the office, it was a small birthday treat from the three of us, whose birthdays were just a few days apart.
Well, to be fair, calling it either small or satisfying would be an understatement. Amanaia’s dishes were exquisite. No wonder that when lunchtime came, so many seats were filled. If you’re thinking about trying this restaurant, it's a good idea to make a reservation. We also booked a table beforehand.
I’ll link the menu here—trust me, you’re going to have a blast looking at the pictures! Amanaia knows what they’re doing when they put those mouth-watering shots on the menu.
What we ordered:
#1 Pecak Gurame (Fried Gourami Fish with Indonesian Pecak Sauce)
#2 Cumi Goreng Cabe Bawang (Fried Squid with Chili and Garlic)
#3 Tahu Telur (Tofu with Egg)
#4 Kangkung Terasi (Stir-Fried Water Spinach with Dried Shrimp Paste)
#5 Tumis Toge Ikan Asin (Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts with Salted Fish)
#6 Ayam Bakar Taliwang (Grilled Taliwang Chicken)
#7 Terong Raos (Tasty Eggplant)
#8 Sambal Dadak (Pounded Fried Chili Sauce)
#9 Sambal Mangga (Mango Chili Sauce)
#10 Cempedak Goreng (Fried Cempedak)
All of them? Triple yum! My favorite? Definitely the fried cempedak. It was so soft and delicious.
