My ABC Cooking Trial Class Journey (with a Giant Cake Box to Take Home!)

If you've been following my blog for a while, you've probably noticed that I bake (unprofessionally) in my spare time every few months. I may still be slow in the kitchen, but I find it therapeutic. Mixing all the ingredients for the dough gives me a chance to think and reflect while also focusing on the task at hand. If I had to pick a fun me-time activity, baking would definitely be at the top of my list.

With that said, it was a no-brainer when my friend invited me to join her on a trial cooking/baking class last month. Since we had both been eyeing ABC Cooking Class at Central Park Mall in Jakarta, we decided to try our luck there. Without wasting any time, I contacted a friendly member of the cooking class and booked our spot for early November. Each of us paid IDR 285,000 for a trial class of Nutty Caramel Crunch Cake—only available this month.

Important note: the trial class costs IDR 385,000 if you register without a member's referral.

What to expect when you join ABC Cooking Class' trial class:

A one-time trial-class experience before registering yourself as a member. Please be punctual. This is crucial.
A locker room to store your belongings, plus a cute apron to wear in the kitchen.
I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but the member who referred us was so kind. She recorded so many videos of us that I thought we could start our own baking channel!
A smooth cooking/baking experience, with all ingredients (and I mean premium ingredients) pre-measured and packed for you to use. Plus, a helpful chef who provides plenty of tips and tricks!
A printed recipe and the cake you bake during the trial class. Just a heads-up: the aforementioned member reminded us to prepare our own goodie bags to bring home our cake. She didn't tell us what I'm about to say to you though: bring a BIG goodie bag! The cake box is gigantic!
