Crowning Glory: My Top 2 Favorite Combs for Long, Tangled Hair
Being a girl can be pretty simple sometimes: you know it’s going to be a good day when you’re having a good hair day. Sure, you might have to jostle with commuters during your ride home, but it’s you and your shiny hair against the world—that’s what matters. Have a lunch meeting with an annoying person? Well, at least your hair looks great. And what if someone underestimates you? Just remember your crown, queen.
With that said, to keep my locks healthy, I’ve experimented with various types of combs over the past few years. The two that have stuck with me so far are the Detangling Comb Birchwood from The Body Shop and the Mini Detangler from The Wet Brush. For reference, I have long hair that's prone to tangling, so I hope this post helps you pick the right comb.
1. Detangling Comb Birchwood from The Body Shop
If there's such a thing as falling in love with a comb at first brush, then the Detangling Comb Birchwood from The Body Shop is it for me. To emphasize my point, I should probably mention that I own two of these combs: one I use post-shower in my room, and another I carry with me everywhere.
So, why do I love it so much? I feel like it helps a lot with detangling my hair and keeping it healthier. Brushing my hair doesn't feel like a chore when I use this comb.

2. Mini Detangler from The Wet Brush
I got this comb last month as a gift from a friend after she asked me to be her bridesmaid at her wedding next year. Since I'd been quite curious about the viral Wet Brush, this gift had me particularly excited. When I got home, I tried this brush on my freshly washed hair. My verdict? I felt like a princess.
Brushing my hair with this comb feels so smooth that it almost doesn't seem real. I also feel like it does a great job of preventing hair breakage. Would I recommend it to a friend? Of course. Encouraged by my recommendation, my sister bought one as well. She mentioned it significantly reduced her hair loss, though not entirely.
