A Glamping Place Recommendation (With a Hidden Zipper to Watch Out!)

Oxford Dictionary defines 'glamping' as 'a form of camping that involves accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping'. I, on the other hand, define the word as 'an outdoor activity that I want to do again in the future'. My intention is clear here: I want people to know that I just had a fun glamping experience last week that I want to repeat someday.

So, I went to this place called Bantaran Riverside Camp, located in Pangalengan, Bandung, West Java. This campsite is huge, with many tents arranged in a few rows. Each tent has two compartments divided by a zipper: the front compartment provides us with an empty space for sitting and storing our belongings, while the back compartment contains the beds.

Funny story: my colleague and I didn't notice the zipper at first. We ended up lying in the front compartment for hours, grieving over the fact that we didn't have sleeping bags to sleep in, until another colleague of ours told us to check the 'inside of the camp'. Well, we felt like two fools, but at least we could sleep like logs comfortably and not on a log.

The zipper in question (which I should have seen, considering that I was lying exactly under it!!!):

The beds in question:

Thankfully, I was soon able to forget my faux pas, as there were plenty of things to do. If you're interested in physical activities, the place offers opportunities to play paintball, ATV, rafting, and flying fox. If your interest is more like mine, and you prefer to do something a little less challenging, you can enjoy the camp or go trekking instead. I mean, the food at the camp is all right, and the tea garden view is worth walking one and a half hours for.

Ladies and gentlemen, some views for you:

BBQ and grilled goat, some snacks (boiled corn, peanuts, and fritters), and fried rice (for breakfast):

Some of my favorite pictures I took while trekking:
