Throwing a Friend's Bridal Shower: Some Ideas

After ten years of dating, my college friend, Lauren, is going to marry her best friend next month. Three of my friends and I decided that it was time for a celebration. We threw a not-so-secret bridal shower party for her this evening. Even though it was more of an intimate celebration with only the five of us, the day went by quickly because of how great of a time it was.

1. Searching for the Perfect Venue

We had initially planned to do this event in a restaurant's private room, but upon more consideration, we decided that it would be better if our gathering had no time limit. We booked a room at the Posto Dormire Hotel then.

Well, what a perfect venue decision. Even though we didn't spend the night at the hotel, my friends and I were satisfied by how aesthetically pleasing the room was. We ended up being there for about six hours.

2. Decorating the Venue

After finding the perfect venue, we looked for some decorations to lighten up the mood. Deciding to keep it simple, we bought some helium balloons with the words "Bride to Be"—we changed the letter 'o' with a ring-shaped balloon.

3. Ordering a Bridal-Shower Cake

Since we had decided to keep this little celebration PG-13, we ordered a Korean cake with the same words as the helium balloons. There was a little crown decoration on top of the cake. We bought it from @blessedsister.id on Instagram.

4. Buying the Bride-to-be Something to Wear

On this occasion, we bought a "Bride to be" sash and pin so the bride-to-be could showcase her status to the world. You can also opt for a cute veil.

6. Ordering Some Food

In a time like this, food is a must. We ordered Pizza Hut's Big Box and some milk tea because they seemed like the most practical.

7. Printing the Groom-to-be's Face Cutouts

To make this bridal shower more fun, we printed the groom-to-be's face cutouts to wear as a mask. Lauren's face upon seeing us with the mask on was priceless.

8. Some Game Time

My friends and I played this game called Undercover in the App Store. Playing it together with them was so much fun!
