Some of My Beach-y Outfits
For someone who lives in a tropical country where dry and rainy are the only seasons we're familiar with, four seasons seem more like a believable myth. I can imagine how exciting it is to walk along the fallen autumn leaves, make-believing that I'm a friend of Rory Gilmore in Stars Hollow. It must also be so cool to have winter clothing in my closet, stored for almost a year. I mean, what is snow, really? Without counting the digital footage, I have never seen it in my entire life (but hopefully one day I will).
According to the internet, it's summertime in other parts of the world. Even if I haven't experienced it firsthand, my mind conjures up this idea of a fun time with more sunny Pinterest mood boards and popsicles. While I can't say the same applies here, the fact that we're having a dry season can perhaps mark the similarity: it's the perfect beach time and no one can convince me otherwise!!!
(I may be physically in my room right now, 13 km away from the nearest beach, but I'd say that mentally, I'm there—I'm where the ocean meets the shore.)
Personally, I prefer to celebrate beach season with a simple outfit, sunnies, and a pair of flip-flops. Let me show you some of my past looks for references:
Outfit #1
I like to combine a plain halter top with a floral skirt as much as I do with black and white. It's giving a rather nuanced simplicity, I'd say.
For another beachy use, I would love to mix this floral skirt with a regular tank top in a brighter color. I imagine a tosca one would evoke a more youthful vibe.
Outfit #2
I have these cute brown shorts that I love. When I feel like matching it with a plain black top, I opt for a simple square-neck one.
I think this outfit will do so much better with a simple shell necklace. Let's make a mental note to buy one for future endeavors.
Outfit #3
Sometimes, I also like to match the brown shorts with a contrasting tank top, say, a purple one.
In a beachy environment, I feel like this color combo gives off a particular carefree vibe.
P.S.: I swear it's purple. I don't why the top looks blue in the picture.
